How to choose fuel for your home, sauna or grill

Start with the appliance manual

The stove, boiler, fireplace or grill manual identifies permitted fuels and restrictions. Pellets require compatible pellet appliances. BBQ charcoal and wood briquettes sold for heating should not be treated as interchangeable.

Check packaging and quantity

The website lists briquettes in 10 kg packs and 960 kg pallets, firewood in 40-litre nets and charcoal in 10 kg packs. Confirm pellet pallet weight and bag count in the quotation. Compare the price for equivalent quantities.

Ask for specific product details

Wood species and log length matter for firewood; diameter and batch information matter for pellets. Labels such as Premium or dry do not replace data required by the appliance. Check certificates and technical specifications against documents where needed.

Prepare suitable storage

Plan a dry, protected space and easy access to the supply. Consider packaging dimensions and the route from the unloading point. A large order is not practical if it cannot be protected from moisture and damage.

Compare the total charge

Include the full address and access conditions in the enquiry. Confirm the date, transport charge, unloading point and any carrying required. Contact info@ecokute.ee or +372 5880 3535. Product advice does not replace the manufacturer’s manual.

What to include in your enquiry

Provide the product, quantity, town and full address, access details and phone number. For example: “I would like 10 nets of 40-litre firewood delivered to Narva. The vehicle can reach the gate. Please confirm the total cost and earliest delivery date.” This is an example enquiry, not a minimum order or a promise of availability.

Four fuels, four questions before buying

  • Briquettes: does the appliance allow them, and what fuel load is permitted?
  • Pellets: which diameter and fuel properties does the feed system require?
  • Firewood: do the log length and species suit the intended use?
  • BBQ charcoal: is the grill designed for charcoal?

After checking compatibility, compare packaging, storage requirements and the complete order cost. No single fuel is universally best for every appliance.
